I am apparently known as a “DFL” – down from London-er, having decided to leave the capital city for a not so sleepy seaside town. And there is clearly a sea change in Ramsgate – far from being the degenerated, down at heels town of yesteryear – it is a place worth celebrating. Stunning coastline and beaches, wonderful restaurants and trendy cafés and a vibrant Royal Harbour to rival the South of France.
It is a place I am very happy to call home – having discovered it by chance two years ago when househunting. Somewhat jaded by London life and rocketing cost of living, I cast the net out to find somewhere within a hour’s reach by train. With the high speed “rocket train” Ramsgate almost qualified (1 hour 10 mins) and more than delivers on value for money and a different pace of life.
To be free from London I am in the process of building a teaching practice in Kent to offer piano and Yoga lessons. If you are looking for an experienced teacher with a passion for music, please get in touch 😉
